Addison's disease: enlarged adrenal glands demonstrated by computed tomography (CT). The CT scan (a) shows bilateral adrenal enlargement in a patient taking anticoagulant therapy who presented with the features of acute adrenal insufficiency. The adrenals show increased density compared with the soft tissues indicating recent haemorrhage.
